Job Summary

The Student Retention Specialist will assist students who have not demonstrated college readiness in mathematics or English language arts and reading and are enrolled in industrial trades programs. The SRS will provide instruction that specifically addresses the content areas of TSIA2 and develop materials to support student learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and tutoring in math concepts related to TSIA2
  • Develop materials, including printable or interactive worksheets, tutorials, and instructional videos
  • Assist students in accessing a full library of materials to address skill gaps
  • Customize instruction for small student groups
  • Maintain confidentiality

Requirements

  • Ability to instruct and tutor math concepts as related to the TSIA2
  • Ability to communicate and facilitate learning effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to customize instruction for small student groups
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
