Overview:


The Management and Strategy division is responsible for providing strategic direction and resource allocation to implement organizational plans and support corporate objectives.

The Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Quality Assurance (GRC and QA) office plays a crucial role in enhancing organizational efficiency and optimizing operations while minimizing risk exposure to support the achievement of organizational goals.

In this context, the incumbent will assist in the implementation of control measures and assurance related to the relevant GRC and QA programs.


Key Responsibilities:


The incumbent will operate under the direct supervision of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Officer within the GRC and QA Unit (MSG) in the Management and Strategy Division (MS).


The incumbent will be responsible for:
  • Monitoring and recommending corrective actions to enhance the quality control environment across all UNICC functions.
  • Identifying processes that require enhancement, coordinating prioritization, and implementing improvements using suitable tools and techniques, along with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborating with various organizational functions to ensure that controls are embedded in business processes and conducting assessments to evaluate operational effectiveness.
  • Planning and executing periodic identification and assessment of threats and risk exposures, while monitoring and reporting on the implementation of corresponding mitigating controls.
  • Assisting in the creation and delivery of training programs aimed at increasing risk awareness and fostering a risk-aware culture within the organization.
  • Providing guidance and support to UNICC functions and clients on risk management practices, including the implementation of controls, in close collaboration with relevant team members and under the guidance of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Officer.
  • Supporting UNICC's assurance programs by conducting control assessments and both technical and non-technical audits.
  • Assisting the GRC manager in providing risk management and assurance program services for UNICC clients.
  • Contributing to annual GRC and QA programs.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in risk management, internal control, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures.
  • Proficiency in utilizing risk management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and audit methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT service management and customer engagement.
  • Proven track record in quality improvement within IT service management.
  • Quality assurance expertise.
  • Understanding of internal and external audit techniques.

Education:
  • A first university degree in information technology, computer science, risk management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in risk management, internal control, or a related area, such as CRMP, CIA, or Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of risk management and business process control frameworks.
  • Certification in at least one ISO standard.

Languages:
  • English: Expert level is required.

Compensation:

The fee will be determined based on either the National Officer salary scales or the Individual Consultancy band levels.
