Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of a multi-farm Citrix infrastructure and associated technologies.
  • Develop and present technical recommendations that align with organizational objectives.
  • Maintain and enhance the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, including NetScaler (ADC), XenDesktop (PVS or MCS), and XenApp.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and training materials, establishing standards and guidelines.
  • Design, implement, and uphold platform security in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Oversee system upgrades and ensure applications are current and functional.
  • Strengthen applications, Windows servers, and the primary operating system.
  • Provide technical support for servers, desktops, and business-critical services.
  • Manage documentation related to the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle helpdesk inquiries, prioritizing and categorizing cases effectively.
  • Ensure application integrity and availability, coordinating off-hours maintenance and upgrades.
  • Identify and implement best practices within the environment.
  • Explore innovative technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support production activities and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new hosted applications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support infrastructure and business-facing IT initiatives.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • 6-9 years of relevant experience, along with a Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Proven experience in building and managing a Citrix environment from the ground up.
  • Strong understanding of PVS and MCS imaging processes, with experience in supporting various Windows Server versions (2016, 2019, & 2022) and Windows 10/11.
  • Expertise in Windows Server features, including Active Directory, NTFS permissions, and advanced Group Policy administration.
  • Active Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
  • 8570 compliance with active security and OS certifications.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Citrix DaaS on AWS is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of networking principles, including routing protocols and data flow.
  • Ability to conceptualize and manage Citrix products such as XenDesktop/XenApp, Provisioning Services, and NetScaler Gateway.
  • Experience deploying and configuring core components of large Citrix environments.
