At General Atomics and Affiliated Companies, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Satellite Manufacturing Engineer to join our Electromagnetic Systems (EMS) Group.

The EMS Group focuses on the military and commercial applications of advanced electromagnetic technologies, including power generation and distribution, magnetic levitation, laser and weapons systems, and systems design and engineering.

This exciting opportunity is for a Senior Satellite Manufacturing Engineer in our EMS Space Systems Manufacturing group, where you will lead a team of moderately experienced professional staff in executing assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) procedures.

Key responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and supporting the execution of space systems manufacturing activities, overseeing cleanroom operations, and providing input to systems engineers and design engineers to enhance manufacturability of satellite components, subassemblies, and mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE).

You will also be responsible for reviewing lift plans, packaging, handling, shipping, and transportation procedures, implementing ongoing process and facilities operations development, and training technicians and certifying production facilities.

Additionally, you will review and provide input for manufacturing bills of materials, manufacturing work instructions, routers, and technical or programmatic documentation related to space vehicle assembly, integration, and test.

This role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience, with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, fluid, cryogenic, and optical systems.

As a Senior Satellite Manufacturing Engineer, you will demonstrate extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice, with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required, and existing security clearance is preferred.
