Role Summary:

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled Math Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a Math Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting students who require additional academic support in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted academic support to students in mathematics, focusing on areas of need and skill development.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure seamless integration of intervention services and effective student outcomes.
  • Develop and implement small group instruction and blended learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Track student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in mathematics instruction and intervention.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
  • Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Equivalent (K-6 Elementary Education OR Middle Grades 5-9 Math).
  • At least two years of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom.
  • Deep commitment to both racial and educational equity for all children.
  • Possesses a growth mindset and is committed to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to demonstrate results from small group instruction.
  • ESOL endorsement or one 60-point workshop completed in Florida.
  • Additional certifications in ESE K-12.
  • Three or more years of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom.
