About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Process Team Lead to join our team at Garver. As a key member of our Water Design Center, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineering professionals in the design and management of water and wastewater treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in the design and development of water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Evaluate and select water and wastewater equipment, including pumps, valves, and treatment systems
  • Develop and implement hydraulic models and analyses for water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Design and lead the development of construction drawings and 3D models for water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Oversee the development of project scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Ensure quality program compliance and delivery of work products that meet Garver's standards
  • Manage and mentor team members to ensure their professional growth and development
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, biosystems/agricultural, or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
  • 10 or more years of direct design experience with municipal water and wastewater facilities
  • Two or more years of experience leading project teams
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling software and process equipment evaluation, sizing, and cost estimation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, biosystems/agricultural, or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
  • Certification as a Pump Systems Assessment Professional
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in multiple states, including Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado
  • 15 or more years of experience with municipal water and wastewater-related design
  • Five or more years of experience leading project teams
  • Relationships with municipal clients in Garver's service area
