Job Summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to join our team at The Ridge School. As a key member of our special education team, you will provide individualized support to students with emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and other behavioral health impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the classroom teacher, provide individual instruction to assigned students to increase their level of independence.
  • Assist the teacher in developing and preparing materials for use with students.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to formulate and implement psycho-therapeutic and behavior management strategies for students.
  • Assist the teacher in developing Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Plans for assigned students.
  • Support students during group activities and be available to address any crises that may arise.
  • Review reports and IEPs of students in the class.
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or minimum 2 years' experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience with special needs children.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
