Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a 100% onsite position that requires a strong background in quality assurance and control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
  • Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 2-5 years of industry experience in one or more areas: Design Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission/Quality Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge in Excel.
  • Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Experience with SAP/MES transactions.
  • US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management/project lead experience.
  • Experience facilitating effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Active DoD top secret clearance.
  • Green/Black Belt Certified in Lean Six-sigma.
  • Data Analytics and Statistical Analysis methods and techniques.
  • Experience using Minitab, Tableau, or equivalent tools for statistical analysis.

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $75,700 - $113,500, with the potential for a discretionary bonus.
