The Role:
The Business Controls team, positioned within the first line of defense (1LOD), plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective execution of essential second line of defense (2LOD) Risk Management initiatives. These include risk and control self-assessment (RCSA), control testing, issue management, member remediation, supplier risk management, and risk reporting.

As a Senior Analyst in RCSA, you will collaborate closely with risk owners and the 1LOD to identify potential risks and controls, providing expert guidance in the development and mapping of robust controls aimed at mitigating those risks.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with various business units (Finance, Marketing, Member Services, People Operations, Corporate Development) to identify, document, and evaluate key risks and controls.
2. Conduct comprehensive walkthroughs of business processes to accurately document process flows and ensure effective controls are established to mitigate identified risks.
3. Work alongside business units to manage issues and ensure the timely and effective completion of corrective action plans addressing control deficiencies.

4. Assist in the timely periodic reviews and updates of RCSAs to evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls based on testing results, issue remediation effectiveness, and any process updates.

5. Create and maintain risk management reports for various forums and committees.
6. Exhibit strong relationship-building and communication skills to foster a consistent understanding and high-quality execution of enterprise risk management frameworks, including policies and processes.
7. Align with 2LOD on the quality and depth of RCSAs, issue management, and supplier risk management as part of the enterprise risk management framework.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in risk and control development/management (RCSA).
- Experience in the banking or fintech sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with the three lines of defense framework.
- Knowledge of banking products, processes, and regulations.
- Proven ability to map complex processes and identify control points.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the capability to produce clear documentation.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to positively engage with management and colleagues.
- Proficient in providing consultation to align business strategy with risk management objectives.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) systems.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, and Slides).
