We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant II to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Nursing Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Assist with collecting and recording patient data, including vital signs and medical history.
- Participate in health care team's responsibility to ensure patient safety.
- Respond to patient calls and emergencies, and report any concerns to the registered nurse.
- Perform various diagnostic tests and treatments, such as taking blood pressure and temperature, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility.
- Participate in health care team's physical and psychological assessment of patients.
- High School Degree or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant Course.
- Heart Saver Certification preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of direct patient care experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
