Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse II to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide compassionate and individualized care to individuals with complex mental health, behavioral, and medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing health screenings, and collecting specimens for lab work.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Train and mentor new staff members on nursing procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Respond to emergency situations and follow established safety and infection control procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Current CPR certification.
