Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse II to join our team at the HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals with complex mental health, behavioral, and medical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and performing complex technical nursing tasks and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses, Physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Train and instruct new staff members on nursing functions, including acclimating them to patients and describing their needs and preferences.
  • Conduct health screenings, collect specimens for laboratory examination, and perform other nursing duties as assigned.
  • Work under general supervision of an RN with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of Texas.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
