Position Overview:
This role is eligible for a 15% PRN differential added to the base pay rate.
As a Critical Care Technician, you will engage in both direct and indirect patient care in partnership with a registered nurse or physician.
Your responsibilities will include facilitating communication and collaboration with the healthcare team to address the physical and emotional needs of patients.
You will also manage orders, receive and stock supplies for the department/unit, and assist support staff with administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Critical Care Technician position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of healthcare experience (pre-hospital, emergency department, and/or patient care) is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A current Colorado Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, A-EMT, EMT-Intermediate, or Paramedic license is required.
- IV certification must be obtained upon hire.
- Physical Requirements: Medium Work - capable of exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly.

Anthony Hospital, recognized as a Magnet designated facility, comprises a 16-bed department with a monthly patient volume exceeding 300.
We accommodate patients requiring additional observation time from the emergency department.For patients needing further testing or monitoring who are not suitable for ED admission, our department provides the necessary care.
Our primary diagnoses include chest pain and abdominal pain, and we also accept patients referred from nearby free-standing emergency departments under similar criteria.Our department manages patients with an OBS status and may occasionally handle overflow from other units.
For patients requiring more extensive care beyond 24-48 hours, we facilitate transfers to inpatient units.
Our mission is to deliver safe, high-quality care to every patient promptly. Many team members are drawn to this department due to their interest in emergency medicine.This environment is ideal for honing your medical/surgical skills, enhancing time management abilities, and gaining experience with emergency room patients.
You will encounter a diverse range of patients and collaborate with a mid-level provider (PA or NP) for each case. We are a close-knit team, providing opportunities to learn about various disease processes.We are committed to supporting our team members in achieving their nursing aspirations and assisting them in pursuing education or certification to advance toward their desired roles in the emergency department.

Pay Range:
$27.68 / hour
