As a Vascular Technologist at CAMC Health System, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases. Your expertise will be essential in performing noninvasive testing, including cerebral, venous, and arterial systems.
Responsibilities- Conduct peripheral vascular testing to aid physicians in diagnosing and treating vascular diseases.
- Assess patient conditions and coordinate transfers to and from testing procedures.
- Explain testing procedures to patients and obtain detailed medical histories.
- Provide educational resources and training to staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director on research projects and publications.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and testing protocols.
- Evaluate equipment needs and recommend purchases.
Patient Group Knowledge: The employee must possess knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment, or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.
Specifically, the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patient.
Common Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain and document required records.
- Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker interactions.
- Comply with the company's attendance policy.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
- Perform work in a cost-effective manner.
- Perform work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies.

- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Formalized Training: Diagnostic Ultrasound or Echo
Experience: 1 year of vascular ultrasound experience. Substitutions: 4 years of vascular lab OJT may be substituted for 2 years of formalized training.
Credentials- Registered Vascular Specialist
- Registered Vascular Technician
- Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
Work Schedule: Varies
Status: Full-time Regular 1.0
