Job Summary

Larry White Associates is seeking a highly skilled Special Procedures Technologist to join their team in the Charleston, SC area. As a Special Procedures Technologist, you will be responsible for performing procedures under the medical supervision of certified radiologists and assisting radiologists on procedures as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform procedures for the direct results of interpretation.
  • Assist radiologists on procedures as needed.
  • Supervise student Radiologic Technologists assigned to them.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals.
  • 2 years of work experience as an Imaging Technologist or 6 months of demonstrated clinical work experience as a Special Procedures/Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.
  • Registered in Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT).
  • Preferred completion of an accredited Vascular Interventional Radiology Program and ARRT registered in VI Radiology.
  • Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and teach Special Procedures exams to produce satisfactory diagnostic films for interpretation.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA and TJC standards and regulations.

Working Conditions

Responsible for safe operation of Special Procedures and processing equipment. Ability to operate standard office equipment.
