Job Summary

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to adult and child members, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Your expertise will be essential in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental illness, working closely with the treating physician and allied health professionals.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices and research methods.
  • Instruct and counsel patients and their families on adherence to prescribed therapeutic regimens and medication regimens, within the scope of practice.
  • Prepare and maintain confidential records, including intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries, in accordance with state and NCQA regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians in screening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications, within the scope of practice.
  • Utilize resources from public and private agencies and community organizations to meet the needs of members' treatment, including referral to external resources as appropriate.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, contributing to a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with the necessary endorsements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards related to member treatment, patient rights, and member/patient confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting/program under licensed supervision.
  • Previous clinical responsibility, including crisis intervention, individual, and group psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity, commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
