Position Overview
  • Engage in all activities related to the functional safety process in accordance with IEC standards.
  • Participate in the development and definition of hazard analysis and risk assessment in line with ISO 12100.
  • Lead efforts to draft functional safety requirements and specifications, including general, environmental, functional, and safety integrity aspects for safety systems.
  • Ensure that both hardware and software designers supply the necessary input data for quantifying and justifying all criteria and parameters (PFH, PFD, SFF, etc.) essential for evaluating integrity levels (SIL) based on applicable standards.
  • Create block diagrams for the safety functions under review and conduct modeling and assessment of the integrity level (SIL) of these functions.
  • Communicate discrepancies between achieved and required integrity levels (SIL) and collaborate with designers to identify necessary design enhancements.
  • Support system and sub-system design through system FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Maintain documented roles and responsibilities for each functional safety representative across various functional groups.
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained regarding safety systems.
  • Assist internal or external auditors during compliance evaluations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Off-Road Machinery and at least 3 years as a Functional Safety Engineer.
  • Proficient understanding of safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 19014.
  • Experience in conducting Safety Analysis (FMEA, FTA, etc.) at the system level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with effective people engagement abilities.
