Job Summary

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to support operations using cutting-edge tools and environments. As a key member of our team, you will develop new tools, code, and services to drive mission success. Your expertise in data engineering will enable the movement, ingestion, ETL, and storage of structured and unstructured data at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with mission partners and data scientists to determine data formats and transforms that meet mission needs and objectives.
• Work in on-premises and cloud environments to design and develop software applications, data layers, and user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain unit test scripts, APIs, and web services for integration between systems and services.
• Utilize Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle and SecDevOps processes to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of experience with a BS/BA; 10 years with an MS/MA; 7 years with a Ph.D; or 15 years in lieu of degree.
• Expert-level Python and Pyspark scripting capabilities.
• Extensive experience with ETL of structured and unstructured big data.
• TS/SCI with poly clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, etc.).
• Designing and delivering software solutions for the Sponsor.
• Supporting and leading software security accreditation processes.
