Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data processing pipelines using NiFi and microservices
  • Ensure data flow through the NiagaraFiles pipeline and deliver to downstream consumers/applications
  • Maintain and improve the NiFi cluster and microservices on JWICS and existing standalone deployments
  • Collaborate with customers, including senior management, data scientists, and end users

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D
  • Deep understanding of NiFi and NiFi clusters
  • Strong grasp of microservices and their use within a distributed architecture
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to mentor and coach teammates
  • Ability to collaboratively interact with customers

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as K8s
  • Decomposing functional requirements into technical specifications and tasks
  • Software development and maintenance using tools and languages such as Java, SQL, JavaScript libraries, HTML, XML, Python, Spark, etc.
