Job Summary:

The Automation Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the electrical and automation subsystems within the production facility. This role requires a strong industrial electrical background and experience in mechanical systems and pneumatics.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and automation systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Collaborate with internal and external resources to resolve issues and improve processes.
Develop and implement process improvements and automation solutions to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Provide technical leadership and support to electrical and instrumentation technicians.
Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

Two-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Five years of strong industrial electrical background in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a food processing plant.
Experience in mechanical systems and pneumatics is helpful.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as electrical schematics, safety rules, and operating instructions.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The Automation Technician must be self-motivated and able to work effectively with a diverse group of people. Shift and weekend work may be required.
