Job Summary

Heart Hospital of Austin, a leading provider of cardiovascular care, is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist PRN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Imaging department.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiological and interventional procedures in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with primary physicians and direct care staff.
  • Coordinate and assist the care of patients assigned, collaborating with radiology technologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Evaluate patient condition to perform radiological and interventional exams, providing comprehensive direct patient care and ensuring a safe and comforting environment.
  • Consult with other staff as necessary to meet patient and family needs, ensuring the availability and safe utilization of clinical equipment and supplies.
  • Perform Point of Care procedures in a timely manner, adhering to established policy and procedure, and documenting required information.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with equipment in the Interventional Suite procedure room, including fluoroscopy, pan tables, medical rad injectors, monitors, and control panels.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Radiology from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
  • Current Medical Radiologic Technologist certification with the Texas Medical Board (TMB) and current radiology registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)/Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
