We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Surgical Services to lead our team in Pensacola, Florida. As a key member of our Ascension Sacred Heart team, you will be responsible for directing the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and strategies for Surgical Services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards to ensure clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements are met.
- Plan, organize, and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepare budgets and ensure compliance with allocated funding.
- Coordinate and direct internal and external audits.
- Direct and evaluate all clinical activities, including care plan development, service level determination, and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Collaborate with physicians, administration, and directors to develop streamlined operations where equipment, supplies, and staff are utilized efficiently and resourcefully.
- Remove obstacles to achieving clinical quality, service excellence, and financial effectiveness targets.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
- Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
- 5 years of experience required, with 2 years of leadership or management experience.
