Job Title: Paramedic Supervisor

Department: Clinical Nursing Support

Job Summary:

The Paramedic Supervisor is responsible for supervising and leading a team of paramedics in the Rapid Response Team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in emergency medical services, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of paramedics in the Rapid Response Team
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the team
  • Provide guidance and support to paramedics in their daily work
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and team performance

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Paramedic in the state of New Mexico
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paramedic in a hospital or emergency medical services setting
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of emergency medical services protocols and procedures

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a hospital or emergency medical services setting
  • Exposure to infectious agents and blood-borne pathogens
  • Subject to random alcohol and substance testing
  • May be required to travel to various work sites
