At Axesspointe Community Health Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Prescriber to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Psychiatric Prescriber will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to our clients, including screening, diagnosing, treating, and managing their mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychiatric treatment, including prescriptions and medication reviews.
- Assess the need for hospitalization and establish an initial treatment plan.
- Monitor progress, initiate referrals to internal and external providers, and provide psychiatric consultations as needed.
- Teach clients and families about medication management and complete all necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with the Medical Director and other prescribers to ensure continuity of care.
- Perform all job duties customary to the department and comply with agency policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• Must be a licensed psychiatrist, NP, or CNS with experience in psychiatric care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
