Manufacturing Engineer

At Silfab Solar, we are committed to reducing carbon emissions and improving access to clean energy. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in achieving our mission by designing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain quotations for machinery and equipment required for our processes.
- Identify and implement kaizen projects to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis on production, engineering, equipment, and maintenance issues.
- Develop and lead trial runs at all sites.
- Coach and mentor team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Develop and lead the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI).
- Lead the development of Value Stream Maps (VSM) for production lines across all sites.
- University or College degree/diploma in Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Controls Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in automation within the solar industry (preferred).
- Knowledge and experience in the application of Statistical Process Control (preferred).
- Familiarity with design standards in the US (i.e. OSHA, NEC, etc.).
- Solid understanding of safety systems design.
