Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

The Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant functions in a collaborative practice with physician(s) in an inpatient setting. This role autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols. The ideal candidate will provide practice/clinical/call coverage and may round for physician(s) during periods of absence. Additionally, the candidate will prescribe a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and including continued hospital admission/discharge and prescriptive authority. The selected individual will collaborate with the assigned team members to support and adjust plan of care and length of stay for patient care needs. The position also involves collaborating with physicians for overnight backup telephone call.
Responsibilities:

Requirements:
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: Master's Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and (PMHNP) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification required. Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience or related specialized area strongly preferred.
Physician Assistants: Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and minimum 1 year of experience in related specialized area strongly preferred.
