About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process prescription requests while building trusted customer relationships and demonstrating patience, empathy, care, and compassion
  • Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for customers
  • Follow department processes and procedures to input information, dispense medication, and verify information
  • Ensure the department is running smoothly by assisting with tasks, maintaining appropriate inventory levels through ordering, and rotating and stocking drugs and other supplies
  • Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices
Requirements
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations in order to perform data entry and fill prescriptions without error
  • State specific – may require Pharmacy Technician certification
  • New Jersey applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience ordering products and controlling inventory
  • Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Pharmacy Technician – Certification
