Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Wegmans Food Markets, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacies. You will be responsible for processing prescription requests, building trusted customer relationships, and demonstrating patience, empathy, care, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process prescription requests and troubleshoot rejected insurance claims
  • Build trusted customer relationships and demonstrate patience, empathy, care, and compassion
  • Follow department processes and procedures to input information, dispense medication, and verify information
  • Ensure the department is running smoothly by assisting with tasks, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and rotating and stocking drugs and other supplies

Requirements:
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • State-specific may require Pharmacy Technician certification

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience ordering products and controlling inventory
  • Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification
