Job Summary

The Safety and Risk Management Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the implementation of safety and risk management initiatives within our business units at AMR. This role requires strong coordination and communication skills to interact with various departments and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the investigation and reporting of safety incidents to the Manager of Safety, Health, and Risk Management.
  • Coordinate the collection of information needed to file claims and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Regularly visit operational locations to observe conditions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with operational teams and provide counsel on safety and risk management.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the GMR Safety Management System and promote a robust companywide safety culture.
  • Provide guidance on exposures to infectious diseases and assist in the direction of employee health services.
  • Ensure the posting of the OSHA 300A log and participate in investigations associated with safety and risk incidents.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including information systems security.
Requirements
  • One (1) year of experience in safety and risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences, Occupational Safety and Health, or Industrial Safety.
  • Skilled in the use of personal computers and associated software.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and technical procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
Reporting Relationships

Reports to: Operations Manager

Interrelationships: Various Operations Managers, Supervisors, Union Stewards, Director of Risk and Safety, all employees, customers, executives, and Administrative Assistants from other companies.
