Patient Care Assistant III

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Care Assistant III to join our team at Inland Imaging. This full-time position will work Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7pm to 7am at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Key Responsibilities- Assist radiologists and technologists in obtaining high-quality studies and maintaining efficient workflow
- Transport patients to and from inpatient departments or emergency rooms to and from Inland Imaging departments
- Escort patients to exam rooms and instruct them on preparation for exams
- Maintain clean and well-stocked exam and dressing rooms
- Assist technologists with patients as needed
- Explain exams to patients
- Lift or transfer patients to exam tables
- Position patients on tables and help them off tables after exams
- Work with team leaders to order supplies
- Obtain detailed medical histories and consents from patients
- May obtain referrals for exams
- Work closely with team leaders and technologists to best place patient exams
- Assist scheduling departments with scheduling patients
- Maintain current level of competence according to Inland Imaging and hospital requirements
- Assist technologists with removal of IVs
- Handle bodily fluids after patient exams
- Clean scanners, dressing rooms, and restrooms after patients
- Assist in dressing or undressing patients for exams
- Obtain patient blood chemistry results prior to exams
- Assist technologists or nurses with contrast reactions or emergency situations
- High School Diploma/GED required
- One year minimum experience in the medical field
- Anatomy and medical terminology preferred
- Medical office experience preferred
- Understanding of CT procedures to be read by radiologists preferred
- Computer skills in Outlook, Kronos, Imagecast, iSite, Intranet, StaffReady, EPIC, and Medicalis highly desired
This position may be required to work in a hospital, urgent care, or clinical setting. Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed.
