Position: Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist

Reporting To: Director of Network Services

Position Overview:

The Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist at LT Apparel Group plays a crucial role within the IT department, tasked with overseeing and managing all facets of the organization’s network and systems architecture. This position is essential for ensuring the dependability and security of LTAG's servers, desktops, laptops, telecommunications, and backup systems. The Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist will deliver expert troubleshooting, resolve technical challenges, and provide outstanding customer support to end-users. Furthermore, this role will actively participate in the ongoing enhancement of the IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Deliver application and help-desk assistance for a variety of software solutions and business systems. Diligently document issues in the tracking system, coordinate problem resolution with other teams, and maintain effective communication and follow-up.
  • User Training: Work alongside the divisional business applications team to educate end-users on new reports and dashboards within the data warehouse/analytics framework, including identifying and refining reporting needs.
  • Systems Management: Oversee and maintain servers, desktop computers, printers, switches, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches. Ensure all systems are current and operating at peak performance.
  • Surveillance Management: Operate and maintain surveillance systems, safeguarding the security and integrity of physical assets.
  • System Monitoring: Conduct daily assessments of system health, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Review system and application logs and confirm the completion of scheduled tasks, such as backups.
  • Technology Assessment: Engage in the research and evaluation of emerging technologies, processes, and infrastructure improvements. Provide recommendations for enhancements that bolster LTAG's growth and operational efficiency.
  • Data Protection: Monitor and assess data security across the network to mitigate risks to corporate resources. Promptly investigate and address security incidents.
  • Asset Management: Maintain a precise inventory of all computer and IT equipment, ensuring that assets are tracked and managed effectively.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop, maintain, and coordinate a comprehensive disaster recovery strategy, conducting regular testing to ensure readiness. Ensure that backup, recovery, and security protocols are established and executed as necessary.
  • Cybersecurity Initiatives: Actively participate in all aspects of security and cybersecurity within the organization, implementing measures to safeguard sensitive data and infrastructure.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Execute other tasks and responsibilities as required by IT Administration to support the department's overall objectives.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in operating and managing Information Systems across various platforms.
  • Ability to provide strategic recommendations and support across all levels of the organization.
  • Expertise in monitoring and evaluating data security on networks to reduce risks and investigate breaches.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical and efficient solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer systems, with advanced skills in MAC OS, Active Directory (including GPO, DNS, DHCP), and VMware.
