Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Echo Technician PRN to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography procedures, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, to diagnose and monitor cardiac conditions.
  • Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering questions to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures, results, and follow-up care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in imaging services or echocardiography.
  • Current ARDMS or CCI registry certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
