Job Overview:

As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations by preparing food items for the final cooking process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering ingredients from storage
  • Thawing meats and opening food containers
  • Cleaning and preparing various food items
  • Delivering prepared items to the cooking staff

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare food items following established preparation methods
  • Ensure an adequate supply of food items is ready for cooking
  • Utilize First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures to maintain freshness

Client and Customer Relations:

Maintain high standards of food quality by inspecting items and stocking prepared food for the cooking team.

Financial Responsibility:

Work towards minimizing waste in the kitchen to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • Clear communication skills in basic English
  • The ability to learn menu items and service protocols
  • Teamwork skills and the ability to take direction
  • Calmness and effectiveness under pressure
  • A willingness to learn and adhere to established processes

This position requires standing and walking for the majority of the workday.
