We are in search of a talented and versatile Videographer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage projects from initial concept through to final production, primarily working independently. If this aligns with your career aspirations, please review the details below.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead videographer, collaborating with a supervising producer/manager to create, film, and edit video content. This includes handling lighting, audio recording, and post-production tasks. Your work will primarily focus on short-form, interview-style, marketing, and informational videos for various governmental entities.
  • Partner with producers/managers to draft scripts and generate innovative ideas for both internal and external video initiatives.
  • Work alongside the Business Development Team to identify and pursue opportunities that align with the company's goals.
  • Provide video production, editing, and creative writing support for contracted projects with government clients as necessary.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proactive communicator with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, along with the capacity to work independently.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital video cinematography, lighting, audio, and editing techniques.
  • Strong grasp of cinematography and lighting methods.
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital video technology, including cameras, equipment, and production workflows.
  • Familiarity with the creative development process, including storyboarding and scriptwriting.
  • Proficiency in motion graphic creation.
  • Able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
  • Capability to formulate interview questions and conduct on-camera interviews.
  • Knowledge of post-production processes and editing software.
  • Experience in developing closed captions and audio descriptions is preferred.
  • Understanding of governmental processes, standards, and requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in film or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of continuous experience in video shooting, lighting, and editing.
  • 3 years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects) or Final Cut Pro.
  • Willingness to travel across the U.S. for filming as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with government agencies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Drive.
  • 2 years of experience using Sony cameras (Sony A7) is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects) or Final Cut Pro.
  • 2 years of experience in developing e-learning courses is preferred.
