About the Role
Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory care team.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, including infants, children, and adults, with a variety of respiratory conditions.
- Assess patient responses to medication, side effects, and proper dosages used in respiratory care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Teach and instruct patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and devices.
- Recognize and report patient abuse and neglect.
- Perform patient assessments and recommend therapeutic and diagnostic modalities per department protocols.
- Establish and assist with maintenance of arterial lines.
Requirements
- Current Texas license for Respiratory Care Practitioner required on hire.
- BCLS required on hire.
- ACLS, STABLE, and PALS certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Graduate of COARC-approved courses in Respiratory Therapy.
- Associate of Applied Science Degree.
- Minimum 6 months acute hospital experience required.
