Job Overview

This role combines engineering expertise with sales support. The Technical Applications Specialist will assist both our sales engineers and clients throughout the pre-sales and post-sales application processes. A significant portion of the role, up to 50%, will involve programming tasks, which may be conducted either in an office environment or directly at client locations based on specific application needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Sales Engineers and clients through product demonstrations, selection and sizing of products, proof of concepts, testing, programming, and comprehensive technical assistance.
  • Evaluate and address technical challenges, leveraging vendor resources as needed to ensure optimal solutions.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of Tri-Phase Automation's product offerings, with a strong emphasis on technical proficiency.
  • This position will primarily operate from the office, with necessary travel for sales engagements, programming tasks, and application troubleshooting.
  • Deliver technical support to clients and sales personnel as required.
  • Engage with clients to clarify the "Scope of Work" as needed.
  • Be prepared for occasional evening or weekend commitments to fulfill urgent client support needs or project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the automation sector.
  • Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, industrial computing, communication protocols, robotics, sensors, safety systems, machine vision, and industrial motion control technologies is essential.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with system design and development is advantageous.
