Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Inventory Accountant to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review General Ledger Journal entries during the month-end close, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Collaborate with inventory control teams to understand the full inventory cycle and provide support in the field, via remote or travel.
  • Reconcile sub-ledger and General Ledger for all inventory transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain account analysis and reconciliation processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and providing adequate documentation for manager review.
  • Conduct monthly Balance sheet reviews for assigned areas, analyzing variances to last year and current year budget, and resolving outstanding issues.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to client groups in finance and other functional areas.
  • Ensure that all warehouses comply with company standard operating procedures and perform SOX controls correctly.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to drive process improvement and implement changes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and analytical and complex spreadsheet skills.
