Pharmacy Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Walmart. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records as required by Company policies, and local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Provide Pharmacy products and services to Customers in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and Company policies and procedures.
- Assist with processing prescription and/or over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases, stocking and securing Pharmacy supplies and merchandise.
- Enter prescription information and/or fill prescriptions, complete, maintain, and secure paperwork, forms, and required documentation.
- Provide customer service by acknowledging the customer, identifying customer needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving customer issues and concerns, and promoting products and services.
- Operate equipment, such as cash registers and related tools, to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
- Receive and stock merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers and organize and maintain the Pharmacy area by following Company procedures.
- Maintain the Pharmacy area in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise/supplies, identifying shrink and damages, and ensuring a safe work environment.
- Maintain merchandise presentation in the Pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
As a Pharmacy Intern at Walmart, you will receive a competitive hourly wage, annual or quarterly performance bonuses, and additional compensation for certain positions, including Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Sales Volume Category (SVC). RequirementsTo be eligible for this position, you must be enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school. Preferred qualifications include Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
