Job Summary

Microsoft Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our cloud-first team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing scenarios for our customers, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our cloud services.

About the Role
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize work items, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Develop and maintain code that is extensible, maintainable, and meets the team's and Microsoft's quality standards.
  • Participate in code review processes, gathering feedback and learning about coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with others to create a clear and articulated plan for testing and assuring quality of solutions.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for this role.
Additional Requirements
  • Active TS clearance and willingness to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph) or have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph).
  • Ability to maintain TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance.
  • Verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.

Compensation

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
