Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical team at ST JOSEPHS HOSPITAL OF BUCKHANNON INC. As a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition, and escalating concerns to the healthcare team as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with best practices and advancements in medical-surgical nursing.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One year of experience in medical-surgical nursing, with a strong foundation in patient assessment, care planning, and medication administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients, as well as stand for long periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
