Job Summary

KFI Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Performance Group, you will play a critical role in the successful application of controls to mechanical HVAC designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare control documents, including schematic drawings, point lists, sequences of operation, and specification sections.
  • Implement entire control systems, from initial hardware design to final system tuning.
  • Provide field assistance to support controls system project delivery.
  • Collaborate with our controls and commissioning teams to ensure high-quality control projects.
  • Act as project manager for smaller projects and assist in managing larger projects.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in HVAC controls and programming.
  • Strong understanding of control strategies and code changes.
  • Proven experience managing small projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to quickly learn software applications relating to control systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience programming boilers and chillers.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following software platforms: Tridium Niagara, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, Emerson Machine Edition, AVEVA Solutions, Inductive Automation Ignition.
