Job Summary

The Wholesale Sales Manager will oversee and lead the activities of the Wholesale Department at Pyramid Flowers. This role will be responsible for creating and delivering advertising and sales programs across various media sources. The successful candidate will sell and provide guidance on products needed by customers, working closely with growers and the Sales Manager to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to the sales team, motivating and encouraging them to meet sales quotas.
  • Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports, using data to project sales, determine profitability, and identify potential new markets.
  • Identify and analyze customer preferences to direct sales efforts effectively.
  • Consult with potential customers to understand their needs and suggest products that meet those needs.
  • Coordinate periodic sales programs and promotions based on merchandising trends.
  • Compile materials and coordinate activities related to special events, such as holidays, new store openings, trade shows, or anticipated product releases.
  • Coordinate activities across various departments to ensure advertising and sales programs reach targeted customers in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain files related to sales programs, weekly ads, and marketing and special event communications.
  • Resolve customer complaints, questions, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
  • Act as a company representative at trade association meetings.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and Excel.
  • Bilingual preferred.
Education and Experience

Comparable record of sales leadership experience required. At least three years of sales experience required, preferably in the floral industry.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Will be based on experience.
