Job Description

This is a results-oriented professional position committed to building a successful career in software development. The role will have a heavy focus on code quality and test automation. Effective interpersonal skills are required to work well as part of a team with people at all organizational levels and diverse backgrounds.

The ideal candidate should be equally successful working independently on time-sensitive projects and tasks. Java and AWS skills are required for this position.

  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder
  • This is a Hybrid schedule, onsite 3 days in the MAPFRE USA offices in Webster Massachusetts
Responsibilities
  • Quality - Ensures software quality by identifying and rectifying defects while validating software specifications.
  • Test Automation – Enhance testing efficiency and accuracy by designing, developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
  • Reads and interprets business requirements or incidents to create a design and coding solution to match the requirements.
  • Tests coded solutions to pass developer quality gates in order to implement a solution to a production environment.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly either written or orally with customers, business analysts, project managers, management or peers.
  • Collaborates as part of a team to achieve team goals and results
  • Supports colleagues with a variety of tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
  • Applies critical thinking relative to analysis, planning and implementation of business initiatives.
  • Follows DevOps best practices
  • Collaborates on efficient design solutions with global outlook
  • Creates technical specifications
  • Assesses new technologies before adoption and implementation
  • Performs Risk analysis
  • Adept Agile methodologies to develop software
  • Continually monitors systems performance
Experience
  • Demonstrates good business and product design capability
  • Ability to lead or mentor other technical team members
  • Continuously identifies opportunities to improve technical debt through recommendations and/or coding opportunities
  • Collaborates on efficient design solutions with reuse
  • Creates technical specifications
  • Assesses new technologies before adoption and implementation
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
  • or 5 - 7 years of professional experience in relevant programming languages
Salary and Benefits

We offer competitive salaries based on your experience, ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year. In addition, you can expect benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
