Job Summary
As a Store Manager at Walgreens, you will be responsible for leading a team of retail professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience- Monitor and analyze customer service provided by team members, offering feedback and coaching to improve performance.
- Greet customers and provide assistance with products and services, modeling and sharing customer service best practices with team members.
- Resolve customer complaints and respond to special needs, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Supervise store and pharmacy operations, including opening and closing procedures, task delegation, and scheduling team members.
- Manage store money, including register counts, bank withdrawals, and safe deposits, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Supervise merchandising, including planning and implementing sets and resets, and revising basic department and end stands.
- Analyze inventory trends and manage inventory levels, ordering items, keeping stock, and liquidating stock to avoid outs and overstock.
- Assign daily operational responsibilities and tasks to team members, setting expectations for performance and productivity.
- Analyze financial and performance data, developing action plans to increase sales and control costs.
- Review key performance indicators (KPIs) daily, preparing to discuss with district management.
- Review and analyze asset protection data, developing and implementing action plans to reduce loss.
- Identify sales opportunities to drive growth and performance in the store and pharmacy.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering, keeping stock, and liquidating stock to meet customer demand.
- Manage team member performance, assigning responsibilities, setting goals and expectations, observing performance, and providing feedback and recognition.
- Monitor and ensure timely completion of required training programs, providing coaching and support to team members.
- Make hiring, promotion, and termination decisions, addressing issues and disciplining team members as needed.
- Participate in company and on-the-job training to improve skills and productivity, attending training requested by district management and corporate.
- Follow performance improvement plans offered by district manager, seeking self-development and continuous learning.
- Serve as liaison between district, corporate, and store, providing a communication channel, responding to requests, and implementing initiatives.
- Conduct community outreach, speaking with community members and physicians in the area.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years retail management experience.
- Licensed pharmacy technician as required by state OR pharmacy assistant in WA state OR licensed Rph as soon as possible given state law requirements, no later than 12 months from Store Manager position start date.
- Willingness to work flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
