Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Semiconductor Equipment Technician to join our team at Beacon Hill Technologies. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for performing on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment, troubleshooting equipment problems, and maintaining records and reports as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Maintain records and reports as required
  • Coordinate activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
  • Order and install parts
  • Respond to emergency service calls as required
  • Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
  • Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
  • Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property, including vehicles and tools

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technology preferred; Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study
  • Electrical/mechanical experience or military background in lieu of education will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
  • Military backgrounds have a high success rate in these roles
  • Excellent customer interface skills are required
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use appropriate tools are required
  • Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are required

Physical Requirements:

Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions, and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds are required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents, or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.

  • Travel varies based on team; 0-100% travel teams available with added financial incentive
