Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Semiconductor Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment, troubleshooting equipment problems, and maintaining records and reports as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and implement solutions
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Coordinate activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
  • Order and install parts as needed
  • Respond to emergency service calls as required
  • Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
  • Remain current on equipment and tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology preferred
  • 2+ years of previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
  • Excellent customer interface skills required
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use appropriate tools required
  • Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures required

Physical Requirements:

  • Job duties often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions, and/or in high places
  • Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds required
  • May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions
  • Occasional overnight travel to TEL factory, training facilities, and customer locations may be required
