About the Role

C&D Technologies is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at our manufacturing facility. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of plant areas, including lunchrooms, showers, locker rooms, workstations, and walkways.
  • Operate various cleaning equipment, including vacuums, sweepers, and hydro-retrievers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment under supervision.
  • Conduct light maintenance duties, such as painting walls and doors, carpentry, and replacing lights.
  • Collect and dispose of coveralls and towels.
  • Operate a cardboard compactor machine.
  • Follow and maintain good housekeeping and hygiene practices.
  • Work various shifts and be available for overtime.
  • Understand and follow specifications and labels associated with hazardous materials.
  • Ability to work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and maintenance procedures.
