Job Summary

The University of Vermont is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Outreach Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our CORA team, you will be responsible for engaging with clinicians and partners in rural communities to facilitate engagement and support planning and implementation of CORA's Clinical & Translational Core community services, educational projects, and community enrichment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in outreach efforts to facilitate engagement with clinicians and partners in rural communities.
  • Support planning and implementation of CORA's Clinical & Translational Core community services, educational projects, and community enrichment initiatives.
  • Create and adapt evidence-based informational resources and curriculum components.
  • Administer evaluations of clinical educational offerings.
  • Promote UVM CORA Continuing Medical Education credits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as behavioral or biological sciences, psychology, social work, or medical areas.
  • One to three years' related experience required.
  • Effective organizational skills, experience with health communications, and the ability to adhere to protocols required.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity and/or experience with evidence-based treatments for substance use disorders or other chronic health conditions desirable.
  • Experience in research and/or working with multiple and diverse providers and partners (e.g., substance use disorder treatment, mental health services) highly desirable.
  • Experience planning and/or supporting academic or educational events is also highly desirable.
