Job Summary:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist with The University of Vermont Health Network, you will play a vital role in providing speech-language pathology services to patients in various states of health and illness. You will function as an essential member of therapy and multidisciplinary teams, providing direct care to patients and supporting other speech-language pathologists by sharing caseloads across sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders in patients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address these disorders, including symptom monitoring and education for patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest specialized equipment and techniques, including fluoroscopy, to provide high-quality care.
  • Teach and prepare patients, families, and caregivers for continued care after discharge.

Requirements:
  • Master's Degree from an Accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Clinical certification (CCC's) from ASHA.
  • Licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the State of Vermont.
  • Experience working with adults and children in a medical setting preferred.
