POSITION SUMMARY


The Heavy Equipment Paver Mechanic will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient repair and maintenance of various asphalt machinery and vehicles, including but not limited to pavers, rollers, loaders, attachments, plate compactors, seal tanks, crack fill melters, and trailers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prioritize safety in all daily operations.
  • Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on the first attempt.
  • Interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to aid in repairs and diagnostics.
  • Address complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems.
  • Demonstrate expertise in asphalt equipment repair.
  • Conduct on-site repairs in a dynamic field environment as necessary.
  • Be prepared for occasional weekend and night shifts.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or the ability to obtain them.
  • Hold a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Maintain an acceptable MVR in line with company vehicle policies.
  • Ability to work under various adverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle and heavy equipment repair.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently in high-pressure situations with minimal supervision.
  • Extensive training in the mechanical field.
  • Basic computer skills required (Email, Smart Phone, Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse individuals.
